MONDAY, MAY 17th

9:00AM – Resort Orientation (free event): Meet the Activities Staff in the Tours Room attached to the Main Lobby for approximately one hour of information regarding daily activities, resort amenities, and local offerings. Complimentary doughnuts. 

10:30AM-12:30PM – Concierge Hours: Stop by the Main Lobby and allow us to personalize your vacation based on your interests and needs. We’ll guide you with an insider’s perspective of the area.Concierge-Desk-1600x900
6:30PM – Bingo: Join us for an hour of Bingo as we play for fun prizes. Located in the Tours Room attached to the Main Lobby. Limited space – please sign up in advance if possible. $2 per board.

7:30PM – Jackbox Game Night (free event): Are you ready to lie your way to victory? Are you good at placing bets on dumb arguments? You will use your phone or tablet to compete in two comical and challenging games. Even the audience can play! All you need is your phone or tablet and your head. First, we’ll play Fibbage…a game of trivia knowledge where you’ll make up fake answers to confuse your competition while you try to guess the correct answer. Then, we’ll play Bracketeering…where you’ll place bets on stupid debates and see who wins the jackpot, or loses it all!

TUESDAY, MAY 18th

1:30PM – Old Man of the Mountain Tour (free event): Join us for an interpretive talk & walk at the Old Man Historic Site (approx. 1-mile round-trip). The highlight of the site is an optical illusion that makes the Old Man re-appear on the towering cliffs of Cannon Mountain. Along the way, we’ll dive into the rich history of the area, including an important connection to a Hollywood icon. Limited space on our bus, but you may follow in your own vehicle.

6:55PM – Scenic Sunset Tour: Join us for an interpretive journey through Sugar Hill and Franconia Notch. We’ll be searching for the sunset, wildlife, and alpenglow (an optical phenomenon that appears as a pink glow across the high mountain peaks). Along the way, we’ll discuss the rich history of the area while visiting a few of our favorite scenic overlooks. Approx. 1.5-hour tour. Limited space – maximum of 12 participants. $5 per person.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 19th

1:30PM – Bow Tie (or Hair Clip) Craft: Create and customize your own bow tie or hair clip. You don’t have to be a seamstress to complete this easy and stylish craft. Limited space and supplies – please sign up in advance. Located in the Fun Factory. $5 per craft.

THURSDAY, MAY 20th

1:30PM – Guided Hike to “The Nicest View in NH”: Join us for a favorite, secret hike of the locals. We’ll talk about the rich history of the area and take in sweeping vistas of the Franconia and Presidential mountain ranges. This is an easy 1-mile walk with some minor ups-and-downs along the way. Conditions may be variable; appropriate outerwear and footwear is recommended. Limited space – maximum of 10 participants. 

7:00PM – NH Wildlife Presentation (free event): Join Real World NH in the Main Lobby for an interpretive video journey of New Hampshire’s famous wildlife in their natural habitat. We’ll learn about their behaviors and many of the common misconceptions surrounding these animals. This presentation features up-close and personal footage of local black bears, bear cubs, moose, bobcats, and everything in between. Come and see NH’s animals gone wild!

1:30PM – Guided Hike to Georgiana Falls: Join us for a hike to a series of beautiful waterfalls that are particularly impressive during the spring thaw. Hike is approx. 2-miles (round-trip) and requires gradual (but continuous) uphill hiking with a few steeper pitches in places. Conditions may be variable; appropriate outerwear and footwear is recommended. Limited space on our bus, but you may follow in your own vehicle. $5 per person.

4:00PM – Private Wine Tasting for Pollard Brook Guests: You’re invited to this exclusive wine tasting for Pollard Brook guests. Seven Birches Winery will walk us through a pre-selected flight of 5 samples at the Atrium Wine Bar in Lincoln, NH. You must sign up and pay in advance at the Pollard Brook Main Lobby (see the Concierge or Front Desk). Also, you must provide your own transportation, and arrive promptly by 4:00PM at the Wine Bar (25 South Mountain Drive). 1:00PM – Guided Hike to Kinsman Falls: Firstly, this hike is not for everyone as it requires continuous uphill walking (think stair-stepping) for 1 mile (round-trip); however, this may be one of the most scenic trails in the entire region. You will be greeted by a seemingly endless series of waterfalls and some of the most picturesque scenery imaginable. Conditions may be variable; appropriate outerwear and footwear recommended. Limited space on our bus, but you may follow in your own vehicle. $5 per person.

Join us for a guided hike on “Bette Davis’ favorite trail”. It was at this site that the legendary actress had a plaque installed to commemorate the day she was rescued by a local innkeeper after becoming distressed. We will bring you to this secret location to view the plaque and tell you more about what happened on that fateful day. A 2-mile round-trip hike that requires gradual (but continuous) uphill hiking with a few steeper pitches in places. Conditions may be variable; appropriate outerwear and footwear is recommended. Limited space on our bus, but you may follow in your own vehicle. $5 per person.

It was at this site that the legendary actress had a plaque installed to commemorate the day she was rescued by a local innkeeper after becoming distressed. We will bring you to this secret location to view the plaque and tell you more about what happened on that fateful day. A 2-mile round-trip hike that requires gradual (but continuous) uphill hiking with a few steeper pitches in places. Conditions may be variable; appropriate outerwear and footwear is recommended. Limited space on our bus, but you may follow in your own vehicle. $5 per person.

1:00PM – Old Man of the Mountain Tour (free event): Join us for an interpretive talk & walk at the Old Man Historic Site (approx. 1-mile round-trip). The highlight of the site is an optical illusion that makes the Old Man re-appear on the towering cliffs of Cannon Mountain. Along the way, we’ll dive into the rich history of the area, including an important connection to a Hollywood icon. Conditions may be variable; appropriate outerwear and footwear recommended. We’ll provide micro-crampons or snowshoes if necessary. Limited space on our bus, but you may follow in your own vehicle.

We’ll talk about the rich history of the area and take in sweeping vistas of the Franconia and Presidential mountain ranges. Total tour takes approx. 2.5-hours, but the walk is only a little over a mile (round-trip). Conditions may be variable; appropriate outerwear and footwear is recommended. We’ll provide micro-crampons or snowshoes if necessary. Limited space – maximum of 10 participants.

7:00PM – NH Wildlife Presentation brought to you by Real World NH (free event): Join Real World NH in the Main Lobby for an interpretive video journey of New Hampshire’s famous wildlife in their natural habitat. This presentation will feature up-close and personal footage of local black bears, bear cubs, moose, bobcats, and everything in between. Come and see NH’s animals gone wild!

1:00PM – “The Bette Davis Hike”: Join us for a guided hike on “Bette Davis’ favorite trail”. It was at this site that the legendary actress had a plaque installed to commemorate the day she was rescued by a local innkeeper after becoming distressed. We will bring you to this secret location to view the plaque and tell you more about what happened on that fateful day.
